Justin Bennett Ryan Webb Nathan Whiting
Assistant Coach
My name is Justin Bennett and I am a Cache Valley local born and raised. I grew up in the heart of Logan on Center Street and attended Logan High. I am 36 years young, married to my high school sweet heart, and I have 5 busy kids (I boy and 4 girls). I had an amazing childhood with amazing parents! I grew up experiencing many adventures from hunting, Skiing (on the snow and water), riding motorcycles, snowmobiling, and pretty much anything else that gets your adrenalin pumping. And I would have to say that Wrestling, my all-time favorite sport, is a sure-fire way to get adrenalin pumping!
When it comes to my career in Wrestling, I am what you would call a late bloomer. I did not find my passion for wrestling until I was a Sophomore in High School, but once I discovered it, I was hooked and have been ever since!!! Wrestling not only was a ton of fun but it taught me so much about hard work, dedication, team work, and how to listen with real intent. I had amazing teammates and coaches that helped me learn and develop a ton! It did not matter to the team what my history was or how long I had been a wrestler. They showed me that if I put in the hard work and left everything I had on the mat, I would have what it takes to be a “wrestler”.
All though my high school wrestling experience was short, it has influenced me to be the man I am today. I find great joy in helping young athletes reach their personal goals, learn more about wrestling, and most importantly show them that if they find their passion, dig deep, never quit, and have a positive attitude they will be unstoppable!
Wrestling builds character!!! I am so honored to be a part of the Green Canyon Wrestling Team! I take this very seriously and look forward to growing as a coach and a wrestler as I have the opportunity to mentor and coach these fine athletes.

He was an assistant coach for Soldotna High School for one year. The following year he spent the season as a wrestling referee. Coach Webb continued to follow wrestling as he pursued his degree in education. He has coached at the junior high level for seven years, all while assisting as a volunteer at the high school level. Coach Webb believes that goals+ hard work = success. He's adamant in the belief that YOU are responsible for YOUR success!
John Bedingfield

Coach Bedingfield didn't start wrestling until his sophomore year of high school. He qualified for the state tournament all 3 years he wrestled, placing 4th in region as a sophomore and winning region as a junior and senior. His senior season record was 31-3 and he placed 4th in state. He started his coaching career at Juab High School in 1981, coached and taught at Viewmont High School (his alma mater) for 3 years, and then went to Bonneville County (Idaho) where he coached for another two years before getting married and moving to Cache County. He helped at Skyview for one season. He returned to coaching when Green Canyon opened and is pleased to work with an outstanding coaching staff and a great group of kids.
Assistant Coach
Coach Whiting started wrestling as a sophomore at Aberdeen High School in Aberdeen, WA. He was a three year varsity letter winner and developed a passion for the sport which continues today. Coach Whiting served as an assistant coach for the Bobcat Wrestling Club from 2010-15 and volunteer assistant for Sky View High School from 2011-2015, taking the 2016 season off to complete his DVM degree at Washington State University. Coach Whiting is thrilled to be back home and to have the opportunity to work with so many wrestlers that he has followed through their careers. He enjoys recruiting new wrestlers and watching them develop through hard work and dedication. Coach Whiting believes that great wrestlers aren’t just those who stand on top of the podium, but also those who work diligently every day to improve their abilities. Dedication, full effort, exact attention to detail, and accountability to teammates are the hallmarks of true champions.
