Webb's Season Summary
​
Overall this team was a very hard-working, focused group of athletes. I was impressed with their work ethic in the practice room. The kids wanted to improve and were willing to put in the work to do just that. With that being said, we were a VERY rookie team overall. 80% of the kids on the team this year were first or second year wrestlers. Regardless, we competed well at JV and varsity tournaments. For the most part, I felt like we gave our best effort when we went out to compete. On occasion it was evident that we lacked confidence and wrestled with hesitation. When that happened, the outcome was not good. I think this was most evident when our JV wrestled Ridgeline. We didn’t win a match. That was kind of disappointing because I knew our athletes were as good. We just wrestled without confidence that evening and it showed. Boy did it show.
Our coaching staff this year was phenomenal! Everybody was “on the same page” regarding the goals and how hard we wanted to push this team. We continue to get better with instruction and motivation. I really REALLY hope that we can keep this staff together for a long, long, long time!
